Domo Fishing and Farting - oh my!

The more I create Domo Animations the more I'm learning that fart humor has universal appeal... I'll get onto that later.

The Domo Animate site is quite a challenge simply because you cannot upload any custom props, sounds, backgrounds... well anything at all really. So when I came up with the concept for Hungry Bear Goes Fishing I knew I was really going to have to get creative.

There's nothing within the Domo props section to simulate splashing water so that white wash you see in the animation is actually a group of clouds. Also if you're wondering about the sound effects then, again, I've chosen what I felt were the most appropriate sounds from what was available.

Hungry bear goes fishing is probably my favorite of my Domo animations to date.

Shortly after creating Hungry Bear Goes Fishing I noticed that the Domo Theme includes a rocket ship and a take off platform. As Domo has the ability to fly (though I've never seen the live, stop motion version of him fly) with animated actions for just that purpose it seemed only logical that Domo would like to fly like a rocket. In case it's not quite clear, that final burst that gets Domo airborne is a super charged fart, whilst the first two pink farts were just non-starters.

This animation, like the fart filled Domo Cooking before it, is proving very popular. You just can't beat fart humor. Everyone understands how funny a fart can be.

Creating a realistic 3D human avatar is a whole lot easier with Reallusion's new Headshot Plugin for Character Creator 3. The plugin is an AI powered extension that can generate 3D digital humans from one photo. Which sounds like an amazing proposition but, in practice, if you're trying to achieve a specific likeness to an actual person, Headshot will give you an excellent base to work from. Headshot has two modes, Auto and Pro. Auto Mode Auto is well worth a try if you have an ideal photo of a front facing person that is properly lit and posed to Headshot's optimum requirements. It's also the only mode that will take a crack at generating a hair model.
